If you’ve been a long-time supporter of Bread and Water for Africa, then you remember the days when we first toiled with our volunteer spokesperson in Kenya, Phyllis Keino, to bring a longtime dream to fruition in the form of the Kipkeino School. Today, we are so pleased to share with you – our partners in this dream – the marvelous successes that Kipkeino School and its students have achieved!
On December 28th, 2011, the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examination results were released and ranked the Kipkeino School as the best school in their county and 6th most prestigious public school in all of Kenya! These rankings represent the overall high marks that the students achieved in the examinations and the successes of the staff and teachers at the school, who work so hard to nurture each student. As you know, Kipkeino Primary School is one of the very few schools in Kenya that provides tuition and financial support for impoverished African children seeking an education – including orphans from the nearby Lewa Children’s Home!
To achieve such national success is a great honor for Kipkeino Primary School and we are so proud of the students who have overcome such difficulty in their lives to work for a better future through their education. This success would be absolutely impossible without your ongoing support for Bread and Water for Africa® and gifts to our education programs in Kenya. Thank you so much for sharing in our joy at this accomplishment!
