Kipkeino schoolThe Kipkeino Primary School (KKPS) began as an extension of the Lewa Children’s Home to give orphans and other children throughout Kenya the opportunity for a quality education – and results from the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education Exams prove that they are succeeding! Read on to learn about KKPS’ top rankings this year and about exciting new efforts to fulfill Phyllis Keino’s dream of educating Kenya children via the new secondary school!

At the end of January, the Kipkeino Primary School received results from the national Kenya Certificate of Primary Education Exams and once again ranked itself among the top schools in the country! Children at Kipkeino Primary School will be on holiday for the month of August before returning to school in September for their third and final term of the academic year, culminating in the next round of Primary Education Exams at the end of November. Wish them luck and fingers crossed for another stellar performance!

In addition to celebrating this success, students and teachers are looking forward to the construction of a new secondary school, the Kipkeino Secondary School. The secondary school supported by caring individuals like you and Bread and Water for Africa®, will complement the quality education received at the Kipkeino Primary School. Located on the same campus as the primary school, the secondary school will set aside scholarships for orphans from the Lewa Children’s Home and other impoverished, but hard-working, children throughout Kenya..
