You may remember that in 2010, Bread and Water for Africa® and its supporters funded the construction of the Early Childhood Learning Center in Zambia. The learning center was intended to serve as a school for the benefit of children in the Kaweza District (a remote village 25 miles outside of Zambia’s capital city of Lusaka). These are children who would not have any education opportunity otherwise

Many families in the village are already familiar with the Kabwata organization and its administrators – indeed, many have been supported by the Kabwata Orphanage and Transit Centre’s outreach program that reaches out to the countless members of the community that otherwise lack access to the most basic needs. In the past eight years, through Bread and Water for Africa’s funding and your loyal support for our work, the community has benefited from Kabwata’s outreach and received health care services and a source of clean and safe water.
