Mission: To support sustainable and innovative water and sanitation solutions that help people improve their lives (well-being) and support their productivity.
Village Water Zambia targets poor rural and peri-urban communities. The rural communities (villages) are primarily located in remote and difficult-to-reach areas, and the peri-urban communities are on the periphery of the major cities. Both these groups tend to be underserved by service providers.
Current Need: Funding to dig more water wells in rural areas of the country, focusing on schools, clinics, and community centers where all area residents have free access to all the clean, safe water they need for drinking, cooking, bathing, and washing.
