A pharmacy filled with life-changing and life-saving medicines.

Bread and Water for Africa® has spent weeks accepting, sorting, and preparing for shipping millions of dollars worth of medical supplies – all headed for needy communities in Africa. More than $1 million worth of supplies will be shipped to Sierra Leone, where it will be distributed to a dozen hospitals and clinics throughout the country. This, along with two 40-foot shipping containers filled with nearly 40 hospital beds and mattresses, chemical surgical tents and other supplies, being sent with our Pennsylvania-based partner group Arms Around Africa, will help fill a desperate need there.

Additional medical supplies worth more than $1 million will soon also be heading to the Haramaya University Hospital in Ethiopia.

In Ethiopia, the donation of medical of supplies represents a win-win situation for the university’s Colleges of Medical Science and Health Sciences and the citizens of that African country where health care services are sparse, and medical supplies and equipment are in great demand. The medical students at the university will benefit as they will have modern equipment and adequate supplies to learn and work with at the university’s outreach healthcare clinics, but the ultimate beneficiaries are the citizens who will be treated for their illnesses utilizing the equipment and supplies.

Whether it be in Ethiopia or Sierra Leone, all of this would not be possible without your generous contributions to support our efforts to address the healthcare demands to those who are most in need.
